Busy moms are like great jugglers: they can make a grocery list, do the laundry, feed a toddler, and make dinner all at the same time – or at least it often feels that way! The beauty industry is finally catching on to the power of Multitasking. Streamlining your morning beauty routine can keep you looking totally fabulous while giving you more time to keep everything in balance – or maybe have a latte while the baby sleeps!
My daily makeup routine takes less than 2 minutes to complete and uses just 5 fabulous products: BB cream, eyeshadow stick, lip/cheek tint, multitasking face powder and face/body balm.
First, I apply a BB cream. (10 seconds) This amazing product hydrates, corrects, evens and perfects. It easily matches your skin tone (a big plus!) and can be used alone for a bare skin look. The one I use, Magic Skin Beautifier by L’oreal, has little beads that disappear into my skin leaving a smooth, even face. It has a nice, touchable finish and doesn’t rub off.
Second, I use an eyeshadow stick. (20 seconds) These easy to use shadow sticks eliminate the need for usual eye makeup necessities like brushes, blenders, and primers. I use the LOC One & Done Shadow Stick as an eyeliner and it gives me waterproof, creaseless color that lasts up to 11 hours. The colors are blendable too!
Third, I add a lip/cheek tint. (20 seconds) Lip and cheek tints and stains provide a sheer pop of healthy color. They are available in many shades and in stick, cream or gel formulas. Lip and cheek tints are long lasting, easy to apply and offer buildable coverage so you can achieve the look you want. I use Tarte Lip Creme because I like the color and easy twist up applicator. I find the creams are less drying and easier to work with than the stains, but that is personal preference.
Forth, I finish with a multitasking face powder. (10 seconds) These skin transforming powders contain skin-clarifying ingredients, like salicylic acid, which reduce the appearance of imperfections, pores and unevenness: a treatment and powder in one! I use Maybelline New York Super Stay Better Skin Powder. It eliminates shine and unevenness without looking cakey and feels lightweight on my skin.
Last, I add a face/body balm when necessary. (10 seconds) These awesome multipurpose creams prime, moisturize, and heal skin. I use Hustle Butter which can be used as a facial moisturizer, makeup remover and hand cream.
