The mission of concert:nova, Cincinnati’s Chamber Music Lab, is to “transform hearts, minds and communities through thought-provoking musical exploration.”
On Thursday, February 21, children and their families are invited to experience concert:nova’s musical innovation with a FREE performance at the Dayton Metro Library’s Eichelberger Forum, 215 E. Third Street. The performance begins at 6:00 p.m.
concert:nova was founded in 2007 by a group of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians. For the Library performance, the boundary-pushing ensemble brings classic children’s book favorites to life with a musical subtext and a final “choose your own adventure” story prompt. Participants will make the story happen in real time.
“We are very excited to be only the second library venue to host this innovative musical experience,” said Julie Buchanan, Library Programming Manager. “It’s a whole new way for families to experience classical music together.”
