Is it just us or does it seem like the world has completely come to a stop as of late? The COVID-19 has taken many local businesses by complete surprise but that hasn’t stopped them from offering some great, FREE in-home activities for families to take advantage of. Check out a few below:
Who: Cake, Hope, and Love
When: Thursday, March 19th at 5:00pm
What: This is the sweetest social distancing you’ll do! If you don’t catch me live – it will stay up so you can cake along when it’s best for you.
Here’s what you will need to cake along:
2 small round cakes
(Recommended 6″ rounds)
1 bag marshmallows
(Large marshmallows – not mini)
(Or something to ice your cake with)
1 small piping bag
(Ziplock bags will work)
Pink sanding sugar
A few drops of black food dye
Who: The Little Gym of Dayton
When: Parent Child Classes will be on Wednesdays @ 10, Pre-K Classes will be on Thursdays @ 10
What: TLG @ Home is our way of bringing the Fun, 3-Dimensional Learning of our The Little Gym Program into the safety and comfort of your Home! TLG @ Home is closely adapted from the regular and familiar class structure that you and your family experience and enjoy each week at The Little Gym. We have made safe and fun adaptions to class activities as necessary so that you can experience your The Little Gym class in the safety and comfort of your home. Given the size of the room you are in, please self-monitor the movements of your child in order to ensure safety, i.e. where and where not to run, move and play; and how fast!

What: FREE COOKING CLASS || yes, I know you saw the word free & stopped scrolling & we are so glad you did!! We unfortunately have had to postpone several classes and events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we want to make it up to all of you. JOIN US this Friday (TIME TBD) for a FREE COOKING CLASS, taught by Chef Jo herself, LIVE and in the comfort of your own home. In this brand new comfort food cooking class Chef Jo will walk you through an app, entree & dessert that you can share with your sweetie or your whole family. The grocery list will be posted tomorrow so you have time to prepare, but a lot of these items are things you might have already picked up! Tell your friends & tune in on Facebook or Instagram. Even under these circumstances we are happy to say that we can’t wait to cook with you!
Who: Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden
When: Weekdays at 3:00pm
What: While the Cincinnati Zoo is closed and kids are home from school, let us help make your children’s hiatus from school fun and educational. Join us for a Home Safari Facebook Live each weekday at 3pm EDT where we will highlight one of our amazing animals and include an activity you can do from home. Don’t have access to social media? No worries! All videos will be posted on our website and to our YouTube channel shortly after the Facebook Live ends.
