February is Engineering Month at the Dayton Metro Library

Dayton Metro Library showcases the diverse field of Engineering during the month of February. Free hands-on activities, virtual reality, and popular films will encourage teens, tweens, children and parents to explore what careers in Engineering are all about.

 

 

 

 

Free hands-on activities for all ages during the month of February at The Dayton Metro Library:


FOR TEENS Grades 7-12:

Build a Giant Mousetrap

Use household items to build an epic mousetrap. Work together to make a one-of-a-kind contraption and try to catch the “mouse.”

Discovery Lab Global leads this STEM learning experience for teens, designed to tackle real-world challenges while exploring innovative concepts. Develop wearable technologies such as the Internet of Things demonstrators

Virtual Reality Workshops

Discovery Lab Global leads this STEM learning experience for teens, designed to tackle real-world challenges while exploring innovative concepts. Using OpenSim, students may develop virtual reality projects for markets, propose layouts for physical spaces, training facilities or interactive exhibits.
