GHOSTLY GOINGS-ON
Free Halloween Activities at the Dayton Metro Library
DAYTON CITY BRANCHES:
Belmont, Burkhardt, East, Electra C Doren, Madden Hills, Northwest, Westwood, Temporary Downtown Branch
With October comes Halloween and thoughts of haunted happenings. The Dayton Metro Library has many seasonal activities scheduled for all ages. From ghosts to Big Foot, The Library explores the odd and unexplained this month.
For teens, the Ohio Ghost Hunters group visits many branches of the Dayton Metro Library to discuss the tools and techniques they use in their investigations.
“There are so many people who have an interest in the paranormal, but never get the chance to experience an investigation first-hand,” The Ghost Hunters organization says. “We love sharing our experiences with them.”
For adult audiences, guest speakers will discuss their research into local and regional haunted places. And for young children, the Library offers plenty of not-too-spooky Halloween parties, puppet shows, storytimes and crafts – costumes encouraged.
All programs are free. For more information on these or any Library program, visit the Events Calendar at DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call (937) 463-BOOK.
