Engage your little ones in the Kitchen

Whether or not you consider yourself a master chef – we can all admit that we LOVE FOOD! At Once Upon a Thyme Bookshop, you can explore your love of food through interactive cooking classes or by browsing their unique selection of cookbooks and kitchen items!

The store recently opened in Beavercreek just off of North Fairfield Rd. and brags of a beautiful kitchen where they host a variety of food-related events. Some of these events include cooking classes, baking classes, and Kids in the Kitchen sessions. They also offer a wide range of kitchen necessities, including cookbooks, kitchen decor, and cookware! Once Upon a Thyme is the ONLY cookbook store in the region!

The Kid’s Corner is perfect for moms and dads to take their time searching for that perfect cookbook while their littles ones are pleasantly entertained with make believe kitchen items and toys! The store owner, Kristina, prides her store on being family friendly and she says it is not out of the norm to see a kid’s program on her cable television – whatever it takes to keep the kiddos happy while mom and dad look around!

Once Upon A Thyme is also geared towards engaging little ones in the kitchen. They have a special section of cookbooks labeled “Family”. There are cookbooks focused on healthy alternatives to kid’s favorite meals and cookbooks focused on how to get the kids involved in the kitchen. Whatever your need might be – Kristina can help you find it!

AND if you have little ones interested in cooking, Once Upon a Thyme is also offering summer camps in addition to their monthly Kid’s In the Kitchen sessions this year. The camp themes will incorporate literary favorites like Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter and the recognizable sweets and treats from those beloved tales! Kids can enjoy a tea party while learning about Alice or make their own pint of Butterbeer while being dazzled by Harry Potter’s adventures!
