Developing a love for reading in the early years is a lifelong lasting gift that lays the foundation for your child’s success inside, outside and beyond school.
So, how do you get your child to unplug and get away from the small screens and get into books?
How can you make reading and learning an everyday practice?
The answers to these questions and more – at the Ages and Stages parent workshop, 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, at Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus, 7777 Yankee Road, 45044. The FREE monthly workshop is designed to empower parents with information and helpful tips on raising children in today’s times.
The January workshop features Dr. John Hutton, a Cincinnati Children’s Hospital pediatrician and the owner of a local children’s bookstore. Hutton is one of a growing number of doctors encouraging families to enjoy the simple things in life. In our plugged-in society, playing outside or just reading a book don’t often have the same allure as screen time. Hutton says setting limits for your kids will make for a healthier childhood.
