Troy Strawberry Festival
Location: Downtown Troy
Date: Saturday, June 3 & Sunday, June 4, 10:00 am- 8:00 pm (6:00 pm on Sunday)
Two full days of events follow beginning with Open Ceremonies on Prouty Plaza. From there the main action continues on the Historic Streets of Downtown Troy and along the Great Miami River Levee! Browse over 200 high-quality art and craft booths. If you can make it with strawberries, you will find it at the Troy Strawberry Festival, more than 60 food booths offer everything from strawberry salsa, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry bbq sauce, and of course the famous strawberry donuts! Great family entertainment, two stages of free entertainment, free shuttle service and free admissions.
Touch a Truck
Location: Kettering Middle School, 3000 Glengarry Drive, Kettering
Date: Saturday, June 3, 9:00- 11:00 am
Get up close and personal with some of your favorite “big rigs”. Truck lovers young and old will have fun interacting with a wide variety of trucks, construction vehicles, public safety vehicles and more! Be sure to bring your cameras. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your swimsuit and continue the day at the Adventure Reef Waterpark. Special waterpark discounts will be offered for those attending. FREE!
Iditarod: The Last Great Race
Location: Centerville Library- Cynthia Klinck Community Room
Date: Saturday, June 3, 11:00 am- 12:30 pm
Learn about the history of Alaska’s annual race! Karen Land, a 3-time Iditarod participant from Indiana, will discuss her involvement with sled dog racing and participation in the 1,100 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race across Alaska. She’ll bring her sled dog Noggin with her along with gear, arctic clothi, g and other items. No registration is necessary but seating is limited. For All Ages. Fee
Fishing Derby
Location: Deer Meadow Park, 4321, Pinnacle Road, Moraine
Date: Saturday, June 3, 5:00 – 8:00 pm
FREE Fishing Derby for all ages. Win Prizes for longest fish and most fish caught. All fish must be released back into the lake. Prizes donated by Mike Daugherty at Flooring By Design.
