Twinleaf Wildflower Trek

Location: Morris Reserve
Date: Saturday, April 14, 10:00 am

Discover a rare wildflower that only blooms two days a year at our newly opened nature park! The beautiful hillsides in this park are full of spring ephemerals that will delight you with their fragrance and eye catching colors! Wildflower bingo will be included for even more fun on the trails! Wear sturdy shoes for new rugged trails and hillside hiking. Pre-registration 2 days prior is required until minimum is met, once minimum is met walk ups are welcome. Free.

ARTventures– Blossoming Flowers

Location: Dayton Art Institute
Date: Saturday, April 14, 1:00- 3:00 pm

Take your family on an ARTventure at the museum! Looking for a fun and creative Saturday afternoon for you and your family? Join us on the second and fourth Saturday of every month (unless otherwise noted) for art-making experiences at ARTventures. Drop in between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. to learn new art-making techniques and create artwork and memories that you’ll take home and cherish. Be sure to check back often for more about program themes and new ARTventures collaborations.

Sensory Sunday

Location: Boonshoft Museum of Discovery
Date: Sunday, April 15, 9:00 am-Noon

The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s NEW Sensory Sunday program offers extended hours for local families who could benefit from a less stimulating atmosphere. During these special hours, the Museum will adjust lighting and sound, have trained volunteers and additional staff, and offer programs to appeal to families with children on the autism spectrum.

Always a great way to spend Sunday, 3rd on Third Market is back. The market is a great place to support local vendors, arts, makers, cottage food industry, and have some old-fashioned family fun. Zoo Blooms

Every spring, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden becomes the Cincinnati Botanical Garden & Zoo when it transforms into a magnificent explosion of color! As one of only two accredited botanical gardens in Ohio, the Cincinnati Zoo offers one of the largest tulip displays in the Midwest. Dubbed “Tulip Mania,” Zoo Blooms also features more than one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees, shrubs and other spring bulbs exploding with color.
