It is time for the line up of 2017 Fall Festivals in Dayton. From festival food to fair rides to celebrating the amazing heritages that make up Dayton.  It wouldn’t be beautiful fall without a smattering of festivals, feasts, and fairs. 

Ohio Renaissance Festival, September 2, 10:30 am- 6:00 pm

Location:  Renaissance Park, Renaissance Park Dr, Middletown, OH
Join us where history and fantasy collide! Queen Elizabeth and a cast of 100 colorful and interactive characters greet you to the 16th Century English village. Enjoy continuous entertainment on 12 stages, a shopper’s paradise of over 140 world-class artisans, food and drink fit for kings, thrilling human-powered rides and games of skill. Eight themed weekends offer a new experience every weekend. There’s something for everyone! Price: $21.95 plus $3.00 Parking Fee

Dayton Green Festival, Septemeber 8-10, 11:00 am- 11:00 pm

Location:  Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton
Celebrate the 58th annual Greek Festival the weekend after Labor Day. A greek tradition for both the young and old, our festival brings together people of all backgrounds and cultures to celebrate all things Greek: delicious food and pastires, unique boutique items, craft beer, live music, dance performances and more! We also offer fun activities for the kids at Zorba Zone and take a chance at the $5,000 raffle prize.

Vandalia Sister Cities Oktoberfest – September 8-9

Location: Vandalia Sports Complex, 1101 Stonequarry Road, Vandalia, OH
Live entertainment, lots of German food, arts, crafts, and kids zone. $4 per person, children under 12 – free, (wristband good all weekend)

Springboro Oktoberfest -September 8-9, Opens 6:00 pm Friday, 11:00 am, Saturday

Location: 5 West Mill St., Springboro, OH
The entire family will have a blast sampling everything from our bratwurst and schnitzel to the kids zone, bands and featured entertainment. Authentic German beer and wines also available – all going to help such charities as the Franklin Food Pantry and Folds of Honor. When it comes to festivals, Oktoberfest reigns supreme! Admission is $3 with children 12 and under free.

Beaver Creek Popcorn Festival – September 9 (10:00 am- 8:00 pm)- 10th (11:00 am- 6:00 pm)

Location: Dayton-Xenia Road between Fairfield and Meadow Bridge
The festival has over 200 booths with festival foods, tantalizing treats, special services, creative crafts, and sensational specialties made with Popcorn.There are additional special events throughout the weekend with the 5k Popcorn Run and Car Show on Sunday.

Ohio Fish and Shrimp Festival, September 15, 4:00- 10:00 pm

Location: Freshwater Farms of Ohio, 2624 US-68, Urbana, OH 43078
Celebrate Ohio’s Freshwater Shrimp Harvest! Get your fill of mouth-watering seafood selections while enjoying a live music stage, multiple vendors, games and activities for the whole family. Explore live displays of fish, frogs, turtles and other native critters. Swing by the fish farm market for a taste of gourmet smoked trout products. Participate in the Trout Feeding Frenzy, sand castle play zone and our famous sturgeon pool, where you can pet Ohio’s largest native fish. Stuff yourself in the Shrimp Peeling & Eating Contest, take home a souvenir t-shirt and enjoy the country atmosphere at the farm! Freshly harvested shrimp will be for sale beginning Saturday morning at 10 am until sold out.

Rubber Duck Regatta, September 16, 11:00 am

Location: Riverscape Metro Park
Join United Rehabilitation Services (URS) on Saturday, September 16th for the 14th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta at RiverScape Metro Park during the Hispanic Heritage festival. Watch as 20,000 rubber ducks are dropped by crane from the Riverside Drive Bridge for a race down the Great Miami River for some great prizes! The proceeds from this event benefit programs for children and adults with disabilities in our community! Adopt your ducks for the race for only $5 at daytonducks.com. Rubber Duck Regatta

22nd Annual Wool Gathering, September 16- 10:00 am- 7:00 pm, September 17, 10:00 am- 5:00 pm

Location: Young’s Jersey Dairy
Observe sheep, llamas, alpacas, cashmere goats, Angora rabbits and other wool-bearing animals at the show.  There will be shearing demonstrations, wool spinning, weaving and much more to see and learn.  There are over 100 vendors from several surrounding states and as far away as Arizona here for you to enjoy.  Admission to this event is free – bring the whole family!  Hours will be 10 am to 7 pm Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

 

Cincinnati Comic Expo –  September 22-24, starts at 3:00 pm on Friday, starts 10:00 am Saturday & Sunday

Location: Duke Energy Convention Center
An annual event celebrating the best in comic books, fantasy, gaming, collectibles, cosplay, steampunk, and pop culture in the heart of downtown Cincinnati.

Tipp City Mum Festival, September 22-24, see wesbites for times

Location: Tipp City Park
The Mum Festival Antique and Show Car Cruise-In packs the historic downtown area with hundreds of quality and unique vehicles for the largest festival car show in the state. Our Saturday morning parade still draws spectators near and far with bands, floats, clowns and entertainment. That’s not all – for two days the City Park turns into the festival grounds with something for everyone from arts, crafts, entertainment and, of course, food.

Dayton Oktoberfest – Sep 22- 24, Begins at Noon both days

Location: Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park N Dayton, OH 45405
The Dayton Art Institute has hosted this German festival in Dayton for over 40 years. Craft beer, home brew contest, live music on two stages and family friendly kids activities. Preview party takes place on Friday from 7 to 11 PM for those who are 21+ with complimentary beer, wine and live entertainment. Ticket purchase to Preview Party is recommended as space is limited.

 

Liberty Township Fall Festival, Septemeber 23, 11:00 am- 3:00 pm

Location: Liberty Park, 6757 Yankee Rd, Liberty Township
Enjoy fall family fun at its finest in Liberty Township, Ohio. This annual fall festival has tons of activities for all ages to enjoy. Make a free craft, play on inflatables and listen to live entertainment. Don’t miss the Paws on Parade featuring a costumed dog parade at 12:30PM!

Flying Heritage Festival, September 23, 10:00 am

Location: Moraine Airpark

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 48 will be holding the third annual Flying Heritage Festival at Moraine Airpark. The public is encouraged to attend. Public parking will be at Wax Park. Activities include: Pancake breakfast, Aviation forums, Antique vendors, Vintage car show, and Food trucks. Admission is free.

Autumn Fest, September 23, 10:00 am- 4:00 pm

Location: Learning Tree Farm
wonderful annual community event, this is our most popular one of the year! We invite you to join our 3,000 guests (and growing!) to not only support Learning Tree Farm’s mission of providing hands-on learning in a traditional farm setting but also to spend the day HAVING FUN with family and friends! Activities will include farm animals, food trucks, crafts, children’s games, pony rides and much more!

Country Applefest, September 30, 10:00 am- 7:00 pm

Location: Warren County Fairgrounds, 665 N Broadway St, Lebanon
Lebanon Ohio’s largest and longest running craft and food festival! Several hundred craft and food booths! Hay ride provided by Irons fruit farm on site! Free admission, free parking. All booths are on paved handicap accessible areas. Handicap parking on pavement near the grandstand.

Lebanon Feast & Fall-y, September 30, 10:00 am- 6:00 pm

Location: Downtown Lebanon
Join us for an alternative to big box sameness at a European style street fair showcasing industrial, artisan, patina, retro, upcycled and vintage wares with tastings of local
fare

Lebanon Country Applefest, September 30 (see website for departure times)

Location:L LM &M Railroad

Kick off the fall season by tasting delectable local produce, enjoying the entertainment, and doing something different by joining the LM&M Railroad for a One Hour Train Ride during the Lebanon Country Applefest! Experience a nostalgic train ride on the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad. You will travel through the country side of Warren County in Southwestern, Ohio. During your ride you can listen to our informative passenger conductors describe railroad history and operations. The Lebanon Country Applefest Train Rides feature Lackawanna coach class seating and access to our open air gondola car. Concessions will be available while onboard the train.

19th Annual 5k Tater-Trot & Spring Valley Potato Festival, October 7, 9:00 am- 10:00 pm

Location: Spring Valley, Ohio
Arts & Crafts Festival, 5K run/walk on Saturday morning, Music & Entertainment, Activities for kids, Pet Friendly, Food vendors with potato themed food items and our Famous Potato Soup. Free

Ohio Cider Fest, October 7, 11:00 am

Location: Hidden Valley Fruit Farm
Fun with the whole family with train rides, hayrides, homemade treats and apple cider! The Celebration of the Ohio Cider and Apple Season! Bring the Family to the farm for All Natural Fresh Pressed Apple Cider! Homegrown Apples – Caramel Apples – Apple Pie & Fritters – Hayrides – Pumpkins Corn Maze – Children’s Train – Barnyard – Craft & Food Vendors!
