What not to miss: If you’re looking for a way to spend your Memorial Day weekend, the Patriot Freedom Festival will have plenty of events going to remind festival goers of veteran’s history. Every hour on the hour, entertainment ranging from live music to Civil War re-enactments will occur, including firing cannons every hour. One re-enactment you won’t want to miss will be performed by the Four Freedom Equestrian Team, who will perform a moving war drama routine. Honor those who’ve served our country by attending ceremonies such as the Flag Refresh Ceremony and the Memorial Day Service for the Gold Star Mothers. Aside from entertainment, check out the various vendors selling crafts, and enjoy foods from BBQ to ice cream, and everything in between.
Parking: Parking is free. Parking lots are very close and in the middle of the event, so ample parking is available. There are 2 lots on Kentucky Street by the police station and on Ohio Street next to the Historic Protestant Chapel that are easily accessible.
Best time to go: Things happening every hour, any time you go you’ll find plenty of entertainment.
