Fall is just around the corner, and we are most excited about all the festivals! Nothing beats a fall festival, and here in Dayton!

Ohio Renaissance Festival

Saturday & Sundays only, August 31- October 27, 10:30 am- 6:00  pm, Everyday

Visitors will see a full day of entertainment including full-armored Jousting the way it was done over 400 years ago by real Knights in shining armor. Queen Elizabeth I presides over the festivities as dozens of Renaissance musicians, dancers, comedians, jugglers, sword-fighters, storytellers and hundreds of costumed performers entertain patrons of all ages on 14 stages in nearly 100 shows daily. Location: Renaissance Park – Harveysburg, Ohio 

Miamisburg River Blast

Saturday, August 31, 6:00- 9:00 pm, FREE. 

Enjoy an evening of fun for the whole family. Enjoy entertainment, live music, FIREWORKS and more. Children’s entertainment includes giant inflatable play zone, face painting, crafts, caricature artists, puppet shows and games. Location: Riverfront Park

Holiday at Home

August 31- September 2, 10:00 am- 6:00 pm. FREE

“HITS IT OUT OF THE PARK” is the theme for the 2019 Holiday at Home Festival! Packed with exciting, fun, safe, family-oriented activities designed to encourage people to stay at home and enjoy their family and friends over Labor Day weekend. Location: Kettering Government Center and Fraze Pavilion

Beavercreek Popcorn Festival

September 7 (10:00 am- 8:00 pm) & September 8 (11:00 am- 6:00 pm)

The festival has over 200 booths with festival foods, tantalizing treats, special services, creative crafts, and sensational specialties made with Popcorn. The festival includes a children’s area and lots of entertainment. There are additional special events throughout the weekend with the 5k Popcorn Run and Car Show on Sunday. Location: Dayton-Xenia Road, between North Fairfield Road and Meadow Bridge Drive.

Middletown Arts Festival

Saturday, September 14, Noon- 8:00 pm, FREE. 

The festival is full of spectacular art from around the region. The one-day event will feature both visual and performing arts across several sites in downtown Middletown. Event organizers are now opening up the show to local artists through an open call for art submissions. The Middletown Arts Festival aims to bring some of the best visual and performing artists from Southwest Ohio and beyond to Middletown, Ohio to celebrate talented individuals and groups. Location: Downtown Middletown

HoneyFest

Saturday, September 21, 10 am- 4 pm, FREE. 

Join us at Delco Park for our fourth annual HoneyFest! This Ohio Parks and Recreation Association award-winning event is all about saving our pollinators. Visit with local Ohio beekeepers, honey vendors, educators and more at this FREE event. Come make a difference by joining the fight to raise awareness about our community’s pollinators. Location: Delco Park

4th Annual ArtFest 

Sunday, September 15, 11:00 am- 5:00 pm, FREE. 

ArtFest is a creative festival for local artisans and organizations to help cultivate an appreciation of the arts to the public through the sale of their handmade products and educating about the intriguing processes in which their art is made. Organizations are welcomed to create art with the public through hands-on or experience stations that capture the essence of their mission. Location: Beavercreek Community Park

Dayton Fall Festival 

Saturday, September 21, 11:00 am- 4:00 pm, FREE. 

The Dayton Fall Festival is an opportunity for families to enjoy weekend fun at a minimal cost. Children of all ages will enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival games, inflatable bounce houses, a mini-hayride, family crafts and much more. Dayton Fall Festival

Oktoberfest at Dayton Art Institute

September 28 (Noon-11:30 pm), September 29 (Noon- 7 pm)

A Dayton tradition since 1972, Oktoberfest includes artisans, unique international foods, one of the best selections of domestic, international and craft beers in the area, family-friendly art activities, live music, a Weingarten with a variety of international wines, and much more. Location: Dayton Art Institute

Tipp City Mum Festival

September 27-29

City Park turns into the festival grounds with something for everyone from arts, crafts, entertainment and, of course, food. Location: Tipp City Park

Country Applefest

Saturday, September 28, 10 am – 7 pm, Sunday, September 29, 10 am- 6pm

Lebanon Ohio’s largest and longest running craft and food festival! Several hundred craft and food booths! Ha ride provided by Irons fruit farm on site! Free admission, free parking. All booths are on paved handicap accessible areas. Handicap parking on pavement near the grandstand. Location: Warren County Fairgrounds, 665 N Broadway St, Lebanon

Champaign County Balloon Fest

October 4 (Gates open at 4 pm), October 5, (Gates open at 2 pm)

Hot Air Affair. From 4-9 p.m. each day, guests will be treated to food, family fun activities, music and hot air balloon launches. Weather depending, the balloons will ‘glow’ at dusk each day, creating a awesome display of light and color. Location: Grimes Field Urbana Municipal Airport

Chocolate Festival

Saturday, October 5,10:00 am- 5:00 pm, FREE. 

Local and regional vendors will offer a wide variety of chocolate and non-chocolate products plus unique craft items. National and local talent exhibitions on stage throughout the day. Location: Montgomery County Fairgrounds

Spring Valley Potato Festival 

October 6-7, Saturday, 9:00 am- 9:00 pm, Sunday: 9:00 am- 6:00 pm
Variety of Food Vendors, Entertainment For All, Over 100 Arts & Crafts Vendors ! Location: Bledsoe Park at Thompson Pavilion.

43rd Fall Farm Pumpkin Festival at Youngs

October 5-6, 11:00- 6:00 pm both days 

Enjoy a full day of family fun with our biggest festival of the year. Take your picture with Humongus Gus, our giant pumpkin, taste freshly made Pumpkin Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes, take a tour of our cheese making facility and watch cow milking. And don’t forget to try our latest addition – Pumpkin Bowling! Location: Young’s Jersey Dairy 

Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience

October 5-6, Saturday: 11 AM – 10 PM and Sunday: 11 AM – 4 PM, FREE. 

There is so much to do at the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience that you can spend the whole day! Spend the night in the FREE campground and then spend the day trying more than 20 activitiescompeting, watching professional demos, connecting with national and local outdoor adventure exhibitors, shopping for new and used gear, relaxing with music and a beverage and winning awesome prizes! Location: Eastwood MetroPark

Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience

Fall Farm Fest at Lost Creek Reserve

October 13, Noon- 7:00 pm, October 14, Noon- 5:00 pm, 

Over the two-day festival, thousands of people will join in on the fun to celebrate Miami County’s agricultural heritage. General admission is free but there are charges for pumpkins, pony rides and corn maze/shooter.  Location: Lost Creek Reserve

Fall Harvest Flyer at LM&M Railroad

October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, & 27 

Autumn is the best time for a train ride! Take a relaxing ride with your family aboard the LM&M Railroad’s Fall Flyer. Enjoy a pleasant 1 hour and 15 minute journey between Lebanon and Hageman Junction. New for 2019! Balloon Artists, Face Painting, Decorated photo props, Additional platform activities (weather permitting). Location: LM & M Railroad

Pumpkins in the Park at Austin Landing

October 25, 3:00-7:00 pm, FREE. 

It’s our favorite time of the year at Austin Landing and we have decided to celebrate with our annual Pumpkin Party brought to you by our friends at Kettering Physician Network! Whip out your favorite boots and scarfs, grab a pumpkin spice latte or hot cocoa and head over for some fun at Austin Landing for a night of Pumpkins in The Park! Location: Austin Landing
