Charm at the Farm Vintage Market

The popular Charm at the Farm Vintage Market is planning to open its gates for its first in-person, outdoor market of the year, August 21-23, with several new health and safety guidelines in place in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Charm at the Farm Vintage Market is set upon a 56-acre formerly award-winning Clydesdale horse farm in quaint, Lebanon, Ohio. The farm has been repurposed and transformed into an enchanting, open-air vintage market full of one-of-a-kind treasures. Presented by Blume and Fleurish, it features vintage pieces, clothing, furniture and home décor from more than 115 talented artisans and shops, 25 of which are NEW to Charm for the first time this year!

Also new this year is an “early bird” admission ticket option on Saturday morning only, which offers Charmers the unique opportunity to shop early and encourages staggered entry. There will also be an expanded variety of food trucks serving everything from coffee, tacos, BBQ, pizza, kettle corn and more.

Charm is typically held three times per year in June, August and October, but Charm’s June 2020 market was held online-only due to COVID-19. The market’s owners have been working closely with the Warren County Health Department and are implementing several new health and safety guidelines in alignment with the state’s recent mask-wearing mandate for Ohioans.

Charm at the Farm is taking several precautionary measures to ensure its August market is safe and sanitary for all, and that social distancing requirements are followed. Signage will be placed throughout the market reminding shoppers to wear their masks and maintain proper distance from each other.

Some of Charm’s new health and safety guidelines for its August 2020 market include:

  • MASK WEARING
    • As mandated by the Ohio governor, attendees must wear facial covering outdoors when unable to maintain a six-foot social distance from people who are not household members, except for those 10 years old or younger and those with a medical condition.
  • STAGGERED ENTRY
    • A new “early bird” ticket option addition for Saturday morning will limit attendance during peak times and provide staggered entry throughout the weekend. A limited number of tickets will be available for both the Friday night VIP option and early bird on Saturday.
  • CONTACTLESS ENTRY
    • Tickets will be sold online only, and no cash or credit cards will be accepted on-site at the gate. When shoppers arrive, they must have their online ticket confirmation printed or viewable on their phone to be scanned quickly for fast and touchless entry.
  • NO FOOD SAMPLES
    • All foods will be ready-to-eat and pre-packaged before arriving at the market.
  • SANITIZATION STATIONS
    • Hand sanitizing stations for customers and vendors will be placed sporadically throughout the outdoor market space. All vendors will also have hand sanitizer available in their booth spaces and will be sanitizing their booths regularly throughout the weekend.
  • ALL VENDORS OUTDOOR ONLY
    • All vendor booths will be set up outdoors only with proper space barriers in place as approved by the health department.
  • WIDE AISLES
    • Aisle ways throughout the market will be 15-20 ft wide to ensure proper distancing among shoppers.
  • NO DIY SESSIONS
    • All DIY sessions previously held inside the barn have been cancelled.
  • NO CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES
    • There will be no kid’s DIY sessions, face painting nor craft activities.
  • STAFF/VENDOR TEMPERATURE CHECKS

Customers are also encouraged to take their temperatures prior to arriving to Charm and are asked to please stay home if they feel unwell. All attendees are expected to clean their hands frequently according to CDC recommendations.

“We want to assure our Charmers and the community that we are very mindful and aware of the COVID-19 pandemic and how our world has changed in light of it,” said Amy Doyle, co-owner of Charm at the Farm. “We understand that coming to Charm may not be for everyone. But many people have told us that they are excited and want to come shop in a safe and beautiful outdoor environment. So we are cautiously proceeding with our August market and can’t wait to welcome our Charmers to the farm!”

“Each year we evaluate and hand-select a unique mix of crafters, creators and shops from around the region and beyond to offer an diverse blend of vintage, handmade and repurposed furniture, home décor, gifts and more,” said Jayme Kuenkel, co-owner of Charm at the Farm. “We are thrilled about the vendor mix we have planned for this year and can’t wait for you to visit us at the farm!”
