Enjoy a wonderful day of baby animals, farm experiences, great food and good old fashioned fun at Aullwood’s Farm Babies Fest! This family-friendly event is held on Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike. General admission for the festival is $10 per car. Enjoy hands-on demonstrations and exhibits, homespun farm crafts, 50/ 50 raffle, non-profit organizations, delicious food and dozens of baby farm animals! Live shows will feature Duck Tails, Gem City Jumpers Competitive Jump Rope Team, Chris Rowlands, Miami Valley Dance Council Square Dancers and Aullwood’s Wildlife Wonders Show.
Enjoy adventures on the farm with a draft horse or tractor drawn wagon ride ($1/person), create crafts and play games in the children’s activity area and make your own butter. Visit booths to learn about blacksmithing, how to keep bees, pond life and making a compostable pot. Even grab a balloon animal to take home with you! Eat local, delicious meats from the farm at Aullwood’s food booth including bratwurst, barbeque pork and hamburgers. Indulge in a wide variety of food including sugar waffles, kettle korn, gourmet Mexican dishes, brick-oven pizzas, lemon shake-ups and more! Join in a cake walk every half an hour starting at 12:30 pm.
Meet many furry friends from K-9 Companions, Team Greyhound Adoption of Ohio and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Visit the Greenview Garden Club and purchase aromatic herbs and flowers to brighten up your landscape. Learn about Aullwood’s Head Start Nature/ Farm Preschool and check out all the vendors, libraries and activities in the auditorium.
