Don’t miss Aullwood’s autumn celebration, Apple Fest, on Saturday & Sunday, September 21st & 22nd, from 10 AM to 5 PM!
Join Aullwood for their annual fall festival at Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike, Dayton OH 45414. With delicious food, live entertainment, craft activities and much more, it’s a treat for all ages. Apple Fest admission is free for children 2 and under, $7 for children 3 to 11, and $10 for adults 12 and over. Members of Friends of Aullwood are admitted free with membership card. Spend a day (or two!) enjoying the rustic ambiance of Aullwood Farm and all the sights, sounds and aromas of Apple Fest!
Try home-made apple pie, fresh pressed cider and baked apple goods, then take home a jar (or six!) of Aullwood’s specially formulated apple butter. Delicious dining options will be available from Zombie Dogz, Bella Sorella Pizza, Buckeye Chocolate, Sweets on the Street, Drizzle Dips, Smokin Inferno, Katie’s Cookies, Kona Ice of Troy and more. This year, they are excited to welcome an array of fresh food vendors to Aullwood Farm to please adventurous palates all day long, like El Buen Taco, El Paisa, Tasty Indonesia and Haolepino. Gourmet hot dogs, quesadillas, tacos, nachos, chili fries, beef/banana lumpia, kalua pork, tonkatsu, chili-garlic shrimp, bbq chicken on a stick, curry puff, falafel sandwichs, fruits, french fries, kettle corn, cinnamon nuts and more will await you.
For refreshing treats on a warm day, pick up flavored shave ice from Kona Ice of Troy, Mango Slush from Haolepino, caramel apples from Drizzle Dips, traditional lemon shake-ups or classic Ullery’s ice cream treats, milkshakes and root beer floats. Visit the Downing Fruit Farm booth for home-grown apples, slushies and more. Sugar waffles, funnel cakes, fudge, cookies and chocolate will satisfy every sweet tooth. Local fall-inspired beer and hard cider will also be featured!
Entertainment abounds at Apple Fest. Kids will love the free activities, games, crafts and old-fashioned fun in the Children’s Activity Tent and in the PNC Mobile Learning Adventure. Catch Johnny Appleseed as he strolls the festival grounds, stop in at the bank barn for music from Ty Cooper, or watch the Miami Valley Dance Council Square Dancers. Aullwood’s Chris Rowlands will bring his famous songs and puppets to entertain and educate. Everyone can enjoy a tractor pulled wagon ride and a visit with farm animal friends. Have you met their new horses? Try your hand at cider pressing and sample apple pie baked in a dutch oven. Have a laugh with the Rooster Crowing Contest and Rooster Jokes featuring Ed Marrinan. Check out the antique steam engine and hear its whistle echo across the grounds. Artisan and craft exhibitors will offer needle crafts, animal masks, sand art, painted pumpkins, garden ornaments, wood crafts, jewelry, doll clothes, soaps, lotions and other surprises. There’s always something more to enjoy at Apple Fest!

Dogs on leash are permitted at Aullwood Audubon. We do not allow retractable leashes on our property. Aullwood Farm and Aullwood’s festival events often feature a variety of animals as well as dogs from participating service organizations, so please keep this in mind if your dog doesn’t always ‘play well with others’.
