Witness hundreds of Monarch butterflies take flight at the 5th Annual Release event presented by Lebanon Garden Club!
The event will be held on August 10th at 11am at Miller Ecological Park in Lebanon.There will be many educational exhibits set up to learn more about everything from life cycles to habitat needs of butterflies with the event wrapping up with the release of Monarchs! Reserve butterflies to release by sending a private message to the Lebanon Garden Club Facebook page for $3 each, please order by August 6th. Consider purchasing a butterfly to release in honor or memory of someone special. Each Monarch butterfly will be in an individual envelope with a tracking number for you. Butterflies must be preordered to guarantee you will have one.
Some things to know:
- This is a Rain or Shine Event
- This is a family friendly educational event
- Overflow parking is at the New Freedom Church across the street
- The butterflies will be released shortly after 11:00 (so make sure to get there early)
- Don’t forget your camera – this is an awesome photo op!
- A limited number of chairs will be available but consider bringing your own
- Allow time to chase butterflies after the release
