2018 Dayton Easter Egg Hunts Guide:

Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Zion Lutheran Church, 10 N Breiel Blvd, Middletown, 45044
Date: Saturday, March 24, 10:00 am

Join Zion for a fun filled Easter Egg Hunt.  Crafts, games, and snacks will begin at 10:00 a.m. The egg hunt is at 11:00 a.m. We plan on having a special guest hop on over for pictures. If you would like to volunteer to help, please contact the church. Free. 

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt in Dayton

Where: Kettering Recreation Center, Gymnasium, 2900 Glengarry Drive, Dayton, 45420
Date: Sunday, April 2, 6:30- 8:30 pm

All egg hunters welcome! Pool will be divided by age and ability. Search for thousands of eggs and turn eggs in for candy and prizes, visit with the Easter Bunny, crafts games and more! Stay and enjoy open swim after hunts are complete. Participants must be able to swim and be accompanied by an adult. Ages 4+. $5 Kettering residents/$7 nonresidents. Preregistration required.

Grand Arrival Eggstravaganza

Where: The Mall at Fairfield Commons (Entrance near Bravo!)

What makes the spring season event sweeter? Making memories the whole family will cherish. Join us for an Easter KidX EGGstravaganza at The Mall at Fairfield Commons! It’s the Easter Bunny’s GRAND ARRIVAL! Enjoy crafts and entertainment and then hop on over to visit the Bunny and have your photo taken with him.

Breakfast with Bunny

We have limited spaces available for this free and unique event, where you’ll be able to dig in to a picture-perfect morning meal while we capture your family’s photo with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny Arrives

Where: Miami Valley Centre Mall
Date: March 17, 10:00 am

Bring the kiddies to greet the Easter Bunny as he arrives at the Miami Valley Centre Mall.  He will be available for pictures from 11 am – 8 pm Monday – Friday;  10 am – 8 pm Saturday and Noon – 5 pm on Sundays. Photo packages are available for purchase.  Easter  Bunny visits are available without the purchase of photos too!

Easter Bunny Express

Where: LM & M Railroads
Date: March 24-25, 30-31 and April 7th

Visit with the Easter Bunny, Participate in one of two egg hunts, with small prizes and candy. Experience 9 -mile round-trip ride through scenic Warren County. Cash-only concessions available to purchase onboard.  Open-air car available after departure weather permitting.

 

Community Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Ginghamsburg Church, 6759 South County Road 25A, Tipp City, 45371
Date: Saturday, March 24, 9:30 am

Families with children walking up to age 12 are invited to the largest Easter egg hunt in Miami County with more than 50,000 filled eggs, Saturday, March 24 at 9:30am on the front lawn of Ginghamsburg Church.Come and experience the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, through a live drama. Kids also enjoy crafts, games, petting zoo with chicks, donkeys and bunnies as well as a visit from the Easter bunny and snacks, hot chocolate and much more.Registration for this sixth annual event begins at 9:30am the morning of the event with the first egg hunt beginning at 10am. Each hunt zone is broken down into four different age groups: walking-age 2, age 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Each hunt zone also includes prize eggs and golden eggs that are redeemable for large prize items. Free. 

KIDX Hippity Hoppity Magic Show 

Where: The Mall at Fairfield Commons (Entrance near Bravo!)

Join them and Goldfish Swim School in Macy’s Court for a fun Easter Magic Show with Gordon Russ! A master at audience involvement, Gordon “invents” magic on the spot using the most ordinary items imaginable. This performance will be jam-packed with surprises, magic, comedy and fun. Prepare to be amazed! Free.

River Church Helicopter Egg Drop

Where: The River Church, 5546 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Liberty Township, 45044
Date: Saturday, March 24, 9:00 – 11:00 am

Join them for our annual Helicopter Egg Drop on Saturday, March 24 (rain or shine). This event is for kids from 2 years old to 5th grade. We have a separate section for 2-5 year olds and another one for 1st-5th graders. We will also have several activities like pictures with the Cottontail Brothers (we will mail you the picture, which is why we need your address), cupcake walk, face painting, games, tattoos, and coloring. *Registration Required. Free. 

Vandalia Community Egg Hunt

Where: Vandalia Recreation Center, 1111 Stonequarry Road, Dayton, 45414
Date: Saturday, March 31, 11:00 am

Bring your own basket and join us for an egg hunt with the City of Vandalia, Butler Township, Butler High School Softball and Girls Basketball Teams and the First Baptist Church of Vandalia. FREE community event; no registration needed. Age: 10 years & younger Location: Vandalia Sports Complex Soccer Concession Stand. Free.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Fairmount Church, 3705 Far Hills Ave, Kettering OH
Date: Saturday, March 24th, 10:30 am

The hunt will take place in the green space/playground at the back of the church. Toddlers/preschoolers will begin their hunt at 10:30 a.m. Elementary children (K-5) will begin their hunt at 10:40 a.m. Immediately after the egg hunt, we will have a puppet show in our Fellowship Hall upstairs, followed by lunch. Bring a basket for all your goodies! Free. 

Lunch & Hunt with Mr. Bunny in Miamisburg

Where: Community Park Learning Center, 500 S First Street, Miamisburg, OH
Date: Saturday, March 23rd, 10-11:30 am & 12:30- 2:00 pm

Bring your child and enjoy a pizza lunch with Mr. Bunny. There will be pictures, games, crafts, food and fun for participating children age 7 and under. After lunch and activities, there will be an egg hunt for participants. Pre-registration is required since seating is limited. Registration fee is $5 per person. Two sessions are available.

Easter Egg and Play

Where: Washington Township Recreation Center
Date: Friday, March 23rd, 10-11:30 am & 12:30- 2:00 pm

The Easter Bunny is coming to the Rec Center!  The Hunt begins for hidden eggs in the gym that will be redeemed for prizes.  Little ones will also have the chance to play on our preschool gym equipment.   Friday, March 23rd from 10 – 11:30 am OR 12:30 – 2pm. Easter Bunny, Prizes and Snack. $8.00 per child, free for adults. Bring a basket to collect eggs. Purchase tickets at the Rec Center soon. Limited number of tickets!

Breakfast with the Bunny in Moraine

Where: Gerhardt Civic Center
Date: Saturday, March 31, 9:00 – 11:00 am

Crafts and breakfast. Bring your camera for photos with the bunny.

Flashlight Egg Hunt/ Family Hunt

Where: Wax Park, 3800 Main Street, Moraine, 45439
Date: Friday, March 30th, 9;30 pm

Come to Wax Park and hunt for eggs in the woods. On Friday it’s the Family Hunt for adults & children under 10. And then Saturday the Teen Hunt for ages 11-17 only.Find the “prize” eggs and win great prizes like PRC passes. Bring your own flashlight and bag.

Annual Citywide Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Ora Everett Park
Date: Saturday, March 31, 11:00- 11:30 am

The Annual Citywide Easter Egg Hunt will start promptly at 11:00 a.m at Ora Everett Park.Egg hunters will be divided by age groups, 0 – 12. Parents, please remember to only assist the 0 to 2 age group. Remember to bring your container or basket.

 

 

5th Annual Community Easter Egg Scramble

Where: Beachler Field in Miamisburg
Date: Saturday, March 31, 11:00 am

Over 15,000 eggs will be scattered over Beachler Field in Miamisburg for this annual, free egg “scramble” – fun for everyone in the family! All children ages 12 and under are welcome to participate

Annual Easter Egg Hunt Youngs Dairy

Where:  Young’s Jersey Dairy, 6880 Springfield Xenia Rd, Yellow Springs, 45387
Date:  Sunday, April 1st, 2:00 pm

As is our tradition, we will hard boil and dye over 7,000 eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt. This event starts promptly at 2 PM for children ages 4 and under. At 2:20 PM we do it again for ages 5 to 7. At 2:40 PM we have the final hunt for ages 8 to 10. We suggest you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your age category, so you have time to find the line and get ready to go! Barnabe, our mascot, will be present, so bring your cameras and have your child’s picture taken with him for you to cherish for years to come. The Easter Egg Hunt is held rain (or snow!) or shine. After all, what else can we do with all those hardboiled and dyed eggs. 2:00pm – Ages 4 and Under, 2:20pm – Ages 5 to 7, 2:40pm – Ages 8 to 10. Free.
