Reconstruction of the Cox Arboretum MetroPark Tree Tower has been completed and it will reopen to the public on Saturday, May 5.
“The safety and enjoyment of our visitors is a top priority,” said Carrie Scarff, MetroParks chief of planning and projects. “We have worked diligently to restore this iconic structure to its original beauty and ensure that the Tree Tower can be enjoyed by the public for many years to come.”
Reconstruction of the Tree Tower took place last winter, with the expectation to open this spring.
One of the most popular amenities in Cox Arboretum MetroPark, the Tree Tower is 65 feet tall and opening in October 2012. The Tower was originally funded through a partnership with The James M. Cox Jr. Arboretum Foundation and Five Rivers MetroParks.
