The Education Division at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force hosts Family Days one Saturday a month. These programs are designed for children and adults of all ages and offers several hands-on opportunities for all to enjoy. Each month features a new theme such as engineering, meteorology, gravity, and space. In March learn about various aspects of weather, especially regarding how it affects flight, through a number of fun demos and hands-on activities.

You and your child will love the PSNs. Each PSN has a themed lesson plan in the gym incorporating our 3 dimensional learning, a themed Lego build lesson plan, a craft, and dinner.

Ready to shoot some hoops and learn something new? Bring your family to participate in an exciting basketball and STEM discovery event for boys and girls, grades K-8. Local organizations are sponsoring the Hoopla STEM Challenge with plenty of free activities, food and chances to compete for prizes: game tickets, gift cards, t-shirts and iPad mini’s. Finalists will compete at half-time during NCAA first four games.

The Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra invites the Platypus Theatre Company to the Schuster Center, where together they will introduce concertgoers both young and young-at-heart to the magical world of classical music. In Bach to the Future, Corky asks her eccentric Uncle Siegfried to help her with her student project on classical music. While poking around in his peculiar workshop, she accidentally combines the ingredients of a magical musical spell, making her tumble through time to meet some of the world’s most fascinating composers.
